Vaginal rejuvenation is becoming more popular, as women seek to increase sexual satisfaction, eliminate pain and ease self-consciousness by improving the appearance of their genitals. There are a variety of types of vaginal cosmetic surgeries intended to accomplish very specific goals. Some of the more popular procedures include the following:

Hoodectomy

This type of vaginal rejuvenation surgery is intended to reduce the overall size of the clitoral hood to increase sensitivity and improve symmetry. In many cases, reduction helps to increase sexual pleasure by enhancing clitoral stimulation. Typically, surgery takes no longer than an hour to complete, with a recovery time of about two weeks.

Laser Perineoplasty

This vaginal rejuvenation procedure aims at tightening the perineum muscles using a laser. A firm perineum, located between and vulva and anus, can influence sexual stimulation and improve the appearance of sagging inner and outer vaginal lips.

Vaginal Tightening

This procedure tightens the vaginal canal and surrounding tissue, which sometimes becomes looser during childbirth. Done surgically or using a laser, this procedure usually takes about an hour; however, in certain cases, patients may need to stay overnight in a hospital. Most women are able to walk without discomfort after only a few days and return to work in about a week.

Revirginization

Also known as hymenoplasty or hymen repair surgery, revirginization is a relatively simple procedure aimed at reconnecting the membrane (hymen) that once partially covered the vaginal opening. Surgery typically involves no hospital stay, and full recovery takes about six weeks.

G-Spot Amplification

The Gräfenberg spot (G-spot) is recognized as a significant erogenous zone within the vagina that enlarges when stimulated. During G-spot amplification, doctors inject collagen into the area to increase sexual pleasure. The procedure usually takes no more than eight seconds, with results lasting about an average of four months.
